- Founding and acting as President of the university’s 1st LGBTQ+ student chapter, the Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA). As President, I established a direct connection with the National GSA Network in the mainland USA and procured funds and resources for our members.
- Being a founding member and the Mechanical Engineering Lead for the university’s 1st Autonomous Underwater Vehicle team. We won the Best New Entry in RoboNation’s Robo Sub Competition. Helped build coalitions that would help our club by being a part of television interviews, ads, newspaper interviews, and reaching out to local businesses to build brand partnerships.
- Captaining the university’s Varsity Chess Team, even leading us towards winning island-wide tournaments. I was also the President of the Chess Club where initiated engaging with local community members to play and learn more about Chess and Go.
- Volunteering in an International Program sponsored by Tsinghua University in Beijing China. As part of the program, in the Summer of 2016, I traveled to China to be a part of the Summer Service Learning Program for Tsinghua University, where I served as a volunteer English teacher to elementary and middle school-level children in Rural areas.

- Partnering with Amgen for my group’s Capstone project, where we designed and implemented an automated syringe filling line removal station that helped reduce the company’s cost by $700,000+/year.
- Worked at Pratt & Whitney‘s Puerto Rico location as part of a COOP during my senior year. There, I performed Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) stress analysis with ANSYS Mechanical as a Performance Engineer.
- Participated as part of the FEMA-funded Seismic Design Competition hosted by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI). Our team won that year’s Kinematics Award: Spirit of the Competition.
